Heli-Asia 2007 took place on 24th-25th October 2007 at The Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. It returned to Malaysia for the 6th Heli-Asia after taking place for two years in Bangkok. The event attracted over 400 attendees from the Civil and Military Helicopter Community.

The Deputy Chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force, Lieutenant General Dato' Bashir bin Hj Abu Baker opened the event and was accompanied by His Excellency Boyd McCleary, British High Commissioner and Andrew Drwiega, Director, The Shephard Group.

The event was also attended by The Inspector General of Police, YDH Insp Gen Tan Sri Musa Dato' Haji Hassan, who toured the Heli-Asia 2007 exhibition. 

The one day conference included representation from the Malaysian Armed forces, the helicopter industry and OEM's and from the wider helicopter user community. Sessions on Military Procurement and Peacekeeping operations, Search and Rescue and Helicopter Safety were featured. An Airborne Hoist workshop took place on day two which was hosted by Breeze-Eastern.
